Hi! I’m Missy.
When I’m not documenting birth stories, you’ll find me at home with my husband, Alex, and our three busy boys…usually outside until the sun goes down, playing endless rounds of UNO or Tenzi, or making homemade pizza for our weekly movie night.
My photography journey began in 2012 when my husband and I purchased a camera to serve at our church. I had no idea that simple step would shape the course of my life. In 2013, I officially launched Missy Moore Photography…but everything changed when I became a mother in 2015.
Holding my first son shifted the way I saw the world. I began noticing the quiet details and the sacred weight of ordinary days. My work became less about posed images and more about preserving feeling. The raw. The beautiful. The fleeting.
I started creating small video clips of our everyday life by documenting firsts, laughter, chaos, and connection. As I shared them, other mothers reached out, expressing how deeply they longed for this kind of remembrance: honest, emotional, meaningful documentation of their own stories.
That is why I do what I do.
I believe birth and motherhood deserve to be preserved with reverence. These are not just photographs or films — they are time capsules. Heirlooms. Tangible reminders of strength, love, and the beginning of everything.
